judge brack is kind of a creepy character. he isnt in a relationship but he tries to make a love triangle with hedda and george, but mostly to get with get with hedda. this is troublesome seeing as he is supposed to be georges friend and he is trying to have a connection with hedda.
another character trait that judge brack has is his struggle for control. he is constantly being seen fighting for power and he finally gets it when he finds out that hedda gave lovborg the pistol and uses that information to potentially blackmail hedda until she kills herself to escape his control and the rest of the problems present in her life.

Yea, would agree that Brack is quite a character. To me, he just cant seem to make up his mind in a way....but in a way, i think he knows EXACTLY what he wants. I know he wants Hedda, but then why does he accept to refer to their relationship as a "love triangle" with George? And then he wants Hedda, but he wants a passive Hedda, because at the end e makes her vulnerable and under his control, so its not that he wants her for Her, maybe HE'S the one who is in search of control you know? Well, i guess that to a certain extent, ALL the characters in Hedda Gabler want some sort of control, so i guess maybe all the assumptions we have about him are correct??? idk.
So when you say he is trying to blackmail Hedda, do you think he WANTED her to kill herself?
